Return & Replacement Policy
Thank you for shopping with The Barn Door Store. Due to the custom nature and size of our products, we do not accept returns for any reason other than verified manufacturer defects. This policy is strictly enforced and designed to ensure product quality and fairness to all customers.
Eligible Manufacturer Defects
Only the following issues will be considered manufacturer defects eligible for replacement:
- Wrong item shipped (e.g., incorrect size, model, or finish)
- Major finish flaws, including significantly uneven stain or coating
- Wood warping beyond a structurally repairable threshold
- Cracked panels or frames that compromise structural integrity
- Missing or nonfunctional hardware necessary for installation
- Severe misalignment in pre-drilled holes or assembly features that prevent proper installation
Reporting Window

All defect claims must be reported within **5 business days** of delivery. Claims submitted after this period will not be honored. Proof of the delivery date will be based on shipping carrier tracking.
Proof Required
Customers must provide clear photo evidence of the defect. We reserve the right to request additional images or video to confirm the nature of the issue. Once we determine that the item is defective, a replacement will be issued.
Disposal Requirement
In lieu of returning the defective door, the customer must provide photographic proof that the door has been rendered unusable (e.g., cut in half, labeled for disposal, or otherwise destroyed). No replacement will be shipped until this proof is received and approved by our support team.
No Other Returns Accepted
We do not accept returns for reasons such as change of mind, incorrect measurements, or customer damage. Please review all specifications carefully before placing your order.
